Each year, the Senate and Congress vote to fund the NEH and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). This summer, for the first time in many years, both the House and the Senate have passed the FY 2019 Interior Appropriations bill before August recess. This is the bill that includes funding for the NEH and NEA. We are thankful to our representatives in both the House and the Senate from Michigan, with 80% voting to support funding. We appreciate their confidence and support that our funding is used to make Michigan a better place to work and live. A House/Senate conference must take place before the bill can be finalized, but no further action will take place until September.
