tools are at your disposal to assist you to empower your patrons with reliable,
vetted, health information.
Health concerns effect everyone in our
community and beyond. Often a non-library user's only contact with the
library is because of health issues. It is imperative public services staff
be aware of the health resources available, both to better serve the community
and to demonstrate to non-users the implicit need for libraries.
This free class draws on the collective
knowledge of experts in the field, Michigan librarians well versed in MeL
databases health resources, not just medical information, but resources
of where else patrons can go to explore their own health needs, alternatives,
and government related health information.
