Applicants from public libraries may apply for one scholarship to attend a Research Institute for Public Libraries (RIPL) Regional event on August 7-8, 2019, in East Lansing, Michigan. Scholarships are provided by the Colorado State Library and the Colorado
Library Consortium.
The deadline to apply is February 26, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Applicants will be notified of a decision by March 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The scholarship will be awarded via reimbursement after the conference. Funds may be used for transportation, registration fees, lodging, and meals other than those provided during the event. Scholarship amounts will be determined on a sliding scale based on
distance, library size, and need up to $750.00
Applicants for the scholarship must meet two criteria:
Their library must be located more than 50 miles away from the conference location of East Lansing, MI (conference zip code: 48823).
They must meet the Library Research Service criteria of being a small and rural library (
