We are honored to have the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Professor Nikole Hannah-Jones as the keynote speaker. The conference is designed to provide K-12 and higher educators with the resources and instructional methods needed to effectively teach about race in English/Language Arts and Social Studies classes. In addition to the conference sessions, several exciting additional opportunities are available for you to participate in. - *Tuesday, August 8, 6 - 8 pm*: VIP Reception at Oakland University's historic Meadow Brook Hall. The event is complimentary, featuring hors d'oeuvres and adult beverages. Professor Nikole Hannah-Jones will speak at the reception. - *Wednesday, August 9, 8:30 - 9:30am*: "Leading During Challenging Times". A complimentary breakfast and panel session designed exclusively for education leaders.
