I've been researching libraries that worked with their local school districts to give every enrolled kid a library card, and I have some questions for libraries that have done this:

-Are the kids' cards online-only (so they can only use Libby/Hoopla/etc), or do they allow physical items to be checked out?

-If they allow physical checkouts, are those different than the number allowed on your traditional library cards?

-If they allow physical checkouts, how do you handle parents saying they didn't agree to pay for lost items?

-Do you have more lost items than you did before starting the program? If so, how much more?

-If a child already has a library card with lost item fees (so their account is blocked), do they get a new library card when they start school? Is their original account cleared? Or does nothing change?

-If all the kids' cards have the same PIN, do you have security issues with kids trying to use each other's IDs?

-Is there anything you changed after starting the program, or anything you wished you had known before starting it?
