For academic libraries, do you still have a Reference collection? We are starting to weed our collection and are curious about other academics’ thoughts about reference books—especially since libraries, and how people use libraries, are
evolving and changing.
We are a small business library. We did a major renovation of our space and a lot of our books (Reference and others) ended up in storage. We also lost a lot of room for shelves, so we definitely must weed.
In your opinion, are reference books still relevant?
