Job Objective/Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Superiorland Library Cooperative Board of Trustees, the SLC Director serves as the cooperative’s primary public representative. The Director works with a wide range of people, including staff, board members, member libraries, government officials, local businesses, other cooperative directors and the Library of Michigan. The Director has a broad range of tasks, including supervising, problem solving, team-building, marketing, human resources, programming, community outreach, fundraising, building maintenance, grant writing, decision making, and others.
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited institution, four years of supervisory and/or management in an administrative capacity, and experience working with a board.
