Please see message below from the United for Libraries, a division of ALA, that supports efforts of trustees and library friends. If you can encourage interested members to reply to the organization using the
online form shown below there is an opportunity to gain experience and network with fellow library supporters at the national level.

Subject: [trustees] Get Involved: Serve on a Committee in 2017-2018
Get Involved: Serve on a United for Libraries Committee
Do you have a particular skill or passion you would like to share with other library supporters around the country? Personal members of United for Libraries are invited to serve on
committees to help further the organization’s mission. Personal members of United for Libraries who are interested in serving on a committee should complete the
online form by Monday, March 6, 2017. Most
committees meet during the ALA Midwinter Meeting, and some may meet during the ALA Annual Conference. Virtual participation may be available. Committee appointments are made by the United for Libraries
president-elect. Members will be notified of their committee appointment(s) by May 15. Personal membership in ALA and United for Libraries is required for committee service. Group members (Friends Boards, Foundation Boards, and Boards of Trustees) are not
eligible.
If you have any questions or experience any problems completing the form, please reach out to me directly via email or call our office at the number below.
Thank you,
Beth
