The reinstated ESTA will replace the current PMLA. The ESTA mandates that employers grant employees one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, subject to annual maximums. Small employers (employers with less than 10 employees) must offer 40 hours of paid sick leave and 32 hours of unpaid leave. Large employers (more than 10 employees) must provide 72 hours of paid sick leave.
