Hello everyone,

I thought I would share our final community update related to our bed bug issue for anyone interested in seeing how we handled things here at HDL.

It was our goal to make this process as transparent as possible to everyone in our community.  We did learn a few things along the way.  I am very thankful for my wonderful staff who were true rock stars and contained the situation very quickly.

If you don’t have a bed bug policy, I highly recommend you consider doing it before you need it.  All libraries are at risk from these pesky bugs.  Having a policy approved won’t necessarily make dealing with a bed bug problem any easier, but it will help you feel more prepared.

Subject: [Michlib-l] Bed Bug Policy

Hello All-

I am looking for bedbug policies. Seeing what has been happening at Harrison has us looking at what we should be doing at our library.

Thank you for your help/input.
