Greetings,

In the past week, the terms of use for Auto Repair Source have been breached. Because of this, EBSCO has provided us with a new URL to use for access. This new geoIP URL is different than the previous one. It will check to see if a user is coming from a registered IP address (on the vendor end) and from Michigan. As of right now, if you don’t pass either of those checks, you won’t be allowed to access Auto Repair Source.

New URL

https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,geo&geocustid=s8410434&profile=autorepso

If you provide a link to Auto Repair Source on your library’s website, you will need to update it to this new link. If you have patrons that run into access issues, please let them know they may need to access this eResource at your library instead of remotely. Links have been updated on MeL.org.

For those who may not know, there is also a separate list that is used to provide updates specifically for MeL eResources. If you or your colleagues are interested in receiving MeL eResource updates, please subscribe by visiting the Mailing List page on MCLS’ website.

Many thanks,

Liz
