Dearest Gentle Readers,
The Detroit Public Library (main branch) wishes to invite all Bridgerton fans, Janeites, and Regency-era enjoyers to our
SECOND Annual Romantic Regency Afternoon ball in our beautiful Adam Strohm Hall on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 2pm.
Entertainment shall include:

A dance caller who will teach proper period dances

DIY dance cards and paper fans

Light refreshments
-
A photo booth with a photographer on site to commemorate your experience
Period dress or modern formalwear is encouraged but not required!
The first 100 debutantes and escorts to arrive at the ball will receive a small token of our esteem. Supplies are limited, so do be on time!
Craft supplies and refreshments will be first come, first served. See the below link to this new event, which is where you can register. This event is free and open to the public!
