The Lenawee District Library is seeking interested applicants for a full-time Adult Services Librarian position.  The Lenawee District Library (formerly Lenawee County Library) was formed in late 2012, and passed a 10 year operating millage in August, 2013.  The passing of the millage provided a significant budget increase and stable working environment for the library.


The Lenawee District Library has a service population of 41,000, five branch libraries (in Addison, Britton, Clayton, Deerfield, and Onsted) a headquarters library in Adrian, and a bookmobile.  The Adult Services position will perform daily work in the headquarters library in Adrian, but oversee adult programming at all branches. 


The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and includes some evening and weekend hours.  Salary is based on qualifications and experience, and includes an excellent benefits package. 

Interested applicants should possess:

-          Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program

-          Library of Michigan certification

-          Experience working in a library

Preferred qualifications:

-          Graphic Design experience or skills (online or digital portfolio if applicable)

-          Marketing experience
