Hi all,

Have you noticed any changes to the MeL.org homepage recently?  We are happy to announce that links have been added for the MeL YouTube channel and list of Chrome Apps.  What?  MeL videos on YouTube?  That’s right. MeL has its own channel now and currently we list videos of the recorded monthly training webinars conducted by MCLS and LM as well as individual links to the four business videos found in the redesigned Business portal and a message from State Librarian Randy Riley.  Additional content will continue to be added as it becomes available.  All of the videos are fully closed captioned and easy to view and share!

The Chrome Apps link is found on the left side of the home page.  We have free apps for Britannica School (both Chrome and iOS) and Chrome Apps for MeL, College Bound, Business, Michigana, Teens, and Kids.  More apps are in development and will be announced once they’re available.

MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan.  Want more information on MeL?  Stay tuned for next week’s MeL Minute available on many Michigan library listservs, email us atcontact@mel.org  or visit http://mel.org. We encourage you to share MeL Minutes with your colleagues and networks.

Registration is now open for the next LM/MCLS webinar. Standardized tests are a reality for Michigan students from elementary through High School. MeL databases provides resources which can bolster achievement. Please join us on November 30, at 3:30pm for a 30-minute webinar focused on MeL resources which prepare students for these important examinations. Registration is free and open to all Michigan library staff and other interested users. Read more and register for this webinar.
