We've been very happy with our Zappbug unit, which comes in a variety of sizes.  We were considering this option, as well.  However, I haven't found anything conclusive about temperature and time.  I've seen various articles with temperatures ranging between 140F to 170F, which is the upper temperature shown in the Zappbug manual.  I haven't found any good information on how long we should keep materials at that temperature for effectiveness, and I have no idea if it would potentially damage the materials, like DVD covers and vinyl or polyester book covers.  If you learn more, please let me know?

Hi all

I am currently going to try out ordering the bedbug ovens. The same temps that kill bugs, kill the virus.

I don’t have access to the published article, but this article from the Journal of Hospital Infection is one that has been referenced repeatedly by experts over the last few days. 9 days is the top end of the length of time that coronavirus survives on surfaces, according to the abstract. I’ve read and heard interviews from experts referencing this article who have said in most cases it would be a less time, but as yet I have not heard any specifics regarding surfaces and temperature/humidity conditions typically found in libraries.
