Oakland University Libraries seek a part-time librarian to provide information literacy instruction and reference services. Instruction-related duties include one-shot instruction sessions for WRT 1060, a freshman composition course. Reference-related duties include offering research help to library patrons in person, over chat, phone, and email, as well as providing one-on-one research consultations. Part-time librarians also assist with special projects as assigned.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Salary: $22.50 per hour
Start date: March 2020, or as soon as possible
The job candidate must have an ALA-accredited MLS and strong orientation towards instruction and reference services. Experience in teaching and reference in an academic library is preferred.
