Here at Capital Area District Libraries, we are active, vital members of our communities, supporting local charities and service organizations through our CADL Cares initiative. Below are some examples: Operation Backpack - This local backpack and school supply drive, sponsored by St. Vincent Catholic Charities, provides children in need with the necessary materials to learn. Several CADL branches serve as drop-off points for donations, helping fill over 1,000 backpacks. We also use this drive to help position our library card as a school supply.
