For almost ten years, CSLP has worked to build a reliable national snapshot of summer reading — one shaped by our member libraries and by public libraries who submit data to strengthen the field. Each January, our volunteer Statistics Committee reviews past
results, updates the survey, and prepares for another year of data gathering. By September, they’ve transformed the numbers into meaningful insights. The 2025 results for
Color Our World are included
here.
The value of this survey reaches far beyond participation totals. It gives us a clear look at how CSLP is living its mission as a collaborative and responsive organization. The feedback you share is sent directly to the teams who can act on it. Artwork comments
inform future illustration choices, product-related feedback guides our Vendor Committee and suppliers, and program responses help us grow and adapt. Every data point moves us forward — together.
Thank you to our volunteers who undertake this process on our behalf annually, and kudos to all the libraries that assist us by completing our survey! We can’t do it without you!
