We are looking at making some changes to children's section. I would like to know what other libraries do with books that involve characters like Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, Fancy Nancy, SpongeBob, and holiday books specifically Christmas books.

For the most part, we are looking at just changing the call numbers for these books. That way books that are about "Dora the explorer" are all together and not spread all over because we currently shelve by author. Any input would be greatly appreciated! And one other thing, would you put the holiday books and character books before books shelved by author or just mix them all in?
