Ionia County Genealogical Society Visits Library of Michigan
The Library of Michigan recently welcomed members of the Ionia
County Genealogical Society (ICGS) as part of their research trip to the Michigan Library and Historical Center building. ICGS members started their visit with a Q&A session with State Librarian Randy Riley. Following the Q&A time, the group had
a library collections tour with Community Engagement Librarian Adam Oster as well as explored the Martha W. Griffiths Michigan Rare Book Room with Reference Librarian Matt Pacer.

The
2023 Michigan Notable Books Author Tour has just wrapped up. 50 communities across the state featured several authors from the 2023
Michigan Notable Books list. Although the tour has ended, there is still another opportunity to hear more from these authors and their works through the
Michigan Notable Books Author Conversations series. First started in 2020, viewers of the author conversations video series can explore the backgrounds of the authors on the 2023 MNB list, as well as uncover their creative
processes, and hear readings from book selections.
Filming has commenced with several of the 2023 MNB authors, with many set to be rolled out online over the next few weeks. Until the current
line-up is made available, be sure to check out past
MNB Author Conversations videos from 2020, 2021, and 2022.
