Subject: [BCALA] Volunteers Still Needed for Focus Group
Hello BCALA Family,
We had a great Focus Group Tuesday evening, but need volunteers for the upcoming focus groups.
The University of Michigan, in partnership with the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) and the Public Library Association (PLA), was awarded a research grant to continue studying Black History
Month (BHM) Programming in public libraries with a nationally representative sample. We are also extending our focus to examine how specific competencies influence BHM programming.
One competency is Knowledge of the Community. We need to hear more about what that means to people working in public libraries like you.
We will hold two more Focus Groups in January and hope you can join us at one of them. If interested, please click on the most convenient date link, which will take you to the registration page.
