Position: Branch Manager, Westacres Branch
Full Time (35 hours per week)
Includes evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday)
Qualifications:
MLIS or equivalent from an ALA accredited library school; 3-
5 years of public library experience; 2-3 years of supervisory
experience, experience in project development and
implementation; experience understanding and managing
budgets; interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated
competency with information technology including digital
resources, online catalogs, the internet, social media sites,
mobile devices; commitment to public service; monitors
mainstream and professional media.
Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the branch;
responsible for the overall appearance, maintenance and
safety of the facility and grounds; supervises branch staff,
including hiring, orientation, scheduling, evaluation, training
and development; prepares, oversees and monitors the
budget; responsible for the overall materials collection
development and maintenance; serves as the primary
librarian-in-charge of the facility; provides reference and
reader’s advisory service as well as technology support to
the public.
Salary Range:
$70,707 - $100,846 per year depending on qualifications
