MDHHS has amended its quarantine guidelines to conform with  recent CDC changes.

Please see the MDHHS release: JIC News Release 388_Quarantine recommendation.pdf

The changes are:

In certain circumstances (at the discretion of local health departments), Individuals with exposure to a KNOWN COVID-19 case:

10 days from exposure

If no symptoms, can end quarantine and self-monitor for the last 4 days.

If symptoms appear at any time, quarantine period for symptomatic individuals starts (10 days from onset of symptoms, 24 hours w/out fever or fever reducing meds/ decrease in symptoms)

It should be noted that 14 days is still the preferred time period for quarantine for exposed people without symptoms because this option greatly mitigates transmission of the virus

Please see the MDHHS release: JIC News Release 388_Quarantine recommendation.pdf
