Please participate in the 2014 Digital Inclusion Survey, which is available through November 21, 2014.   This survey is used to generate data to inform policy makers about the contributions of libraries in the areas of digital literacy, economic and workforce development, civic engagement, broadband, and public access to the Internet.

The study uses your data in a number of ways to show how libraries help build inclusive communities. Visit the links below to see the results from the 2013 survey.

• Interactive mapping tools that combine digital inclusion survey and community-level data. The map enables libraries to better understand their community demographics, education and learning, economic/workforce, and health contexts along with the digital inclusion services that they provide. We have also developed a state view of the interactive mapping tool found on the individual state pages.
• State pages that provide an interactive state-level mapping tool and selected summary data that compares states to national data. You can generate a PDF handout of the summary data.
• Issue briefs on key topics such as broadband, employment, e-government, community access, digital literacy, and digital inclusion.
• National report that analyzes data from the survey.
• Executive summary that provides an overview of survey findings.
• Talking points handout that provides selected findings for advocacy purposes.

The Digital Inclusion Survey is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and conducted by the American Library Association and the Information Policy & Access Center at the University of Maryland College Park, in partnership with the International City/County Management Association.
