The Lead Librarian I, under the direction of the Branch Operations Manager, will serve as the branch leader for a couple of branches.  Some of the essential duties are: 

• Manage the operations of a branch or multiple branches.
• Present at least three Story-times a week.
• Maintain a well-balance collection.
• Communicate and build strong community bonds by working with local community leaders. Attend local municipal meetings representing MADL.
• Develop service-oriented programming
• Provide direction and supervision to the staff and volunteers assigned to the branch and update them on new procedures.

This is a full-time union position.  We offer an excellent benefit package including: medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, pension, EAP, Vacation, Sick, Personal days and 12 paid holidays.  Pay range for this position is $19.81 - $23.50.
