Michigan Association for Media in Education is excited to announce that Dr. Marc Aronson will be the featured author at our annual conference at the Sheraton Ann Arbor. Marc is an award-winning author, professor, speaker, editor and publisher. His engaging nonfiction books for children and adults, include The Skull in the Rock: How a Scientist, a Boy, and Google Earth Opened a New Window on Human Origins; Sugar Changed the World; and Master of Deceit: J. Edgar Hoover and America in the Age of Lies.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at the conference Sunrise Author Breakfast Marc will share History is Making Connections -- Let Me Show You How. He will conduct a breakout session on the creation of text sets to support Common Core. There will also be a book signing and opportunity to meet him.

While Marc is in the area, he is looking for other opportunities to speak or do workshops at schools, libraries, or other organizations. If you are interested in engaging Marc, please contact him directly. His travel costs have been covered by MAME. To learn more about Marc or contact him, check out his website: http://www.marcaronson.com/

We also hope you'll consider joining us for MAME's Conference October 22-24 in Ann Arbor. Marc's entertaining and informative breakfast presentation is open to the public, and would be worthwhile for librarians and teachers alike. Please share this information with others.
