Registration is now open for August Library Law Spotlight webinar. August 20, 2021, 10:00am-11:30am EST - Contracting for Public Library Service A service contract is a great way for libraries to serve neighboring communities. However, such a contract can result in pitfalls for the library if the terms of the contract don't reflect the culture of the existing patrons. This is especially true if the contracted area is not paying the same rate for services that the "home" community is paying via a millage. This session will discuss considerations and tips for negotiating reasonable contracts for service with municipalities.
