Save the Date for a Fall Event!

The Michigan Academic Library Association (MI-ALA) will be holding a Fall Event on October 10, 2014 at the Michigan State University Main Library in East Lansing. Details will be forthcoming but attendees can look forward to:

n  Discussions associated with desired outcomes of the new organization, including Q & A with the Steering Committee:

o Margaret Auer, Dean, University Libraries and Instructional Technology , University of Detroit Mercy

o Stephanie Delano Davis, Library Director,  Atkinson Library, Jackson College

o Scott Garrison, Dean, Ferris Library for Information, Technology and Education, Ferris State University

o Cliff Haka, Director of Libraries, Michigan State University

n Development of organizational details, such as the establishment and populating of section and committee structures and potential initiation of section / committee activity, as well as the process for forming interest groups.  

n Interesting programming for academic librarians and other library employees.

n Social time for collegial interaction.

n Tours / demonstrations of MSU Library operations.
