We are closed for these federal holidays:

New Year's Day

MLK Day

Memorial Day

Juneteenth - we close at 3 so we can participate in our city's Juneteenth celebration starting at 4.

Independence Day

Labor Day

Thanksgiving

Christmas

For some of the holidays we are closed for more than the holiday itself (like New Year's Eve in addition to New Year's Day).  We are open on President's, Columbus, and Veterans' Days and full-time staff get 24 hours of floating holiday time off in exchange.

We are closed on Sundays year-round and open on Mondays during the summer season (beginning after Memorial Day and ending on Labor Day).

Hi everyone! If you have the time and energy, I would appreciate if you could let me know what federal holidays your library is closed on. 

 

Our library is closed for some federal holidays, but not all, and it seems to bring some confusion to staff and patrons. I would like to go over these days with the library board but would like to hear what other libraries are closed for first.
