Over the weekend there was a nationwide problem with library Overdrive downloads through Amazon, according to one of their techies. According to him, Amazon was working on it but at that time (Sunday afternoon) "they had no solution."  It sounds like they may still be having some issues.

So what exactly is the problem? I was able to download a book via usb. I also downloaded another book wirelessly. It downloaded to the cloud, but once I tapped it, it transfered to the device.

According to the amazon techies, there is a nationwide problem with Overdrive downloads for all public libraries through amazon.  There is no solution at this time but they hope to have it figured out, possibly, today. It has been going on all weekend, so I imagine today will be interesting with LOTS of Overdrive questions. It is download mess.
Good Luck.
