Whether you work in a library or school and regardless of the job title, when you think about it, aren’t we all educators? The audiences and the message being delivered may vary but the bottom line is collaboration and results. In MeL.org we have a Teachers Portal that truly has something for everyone – libraries, schools, parents, homeschoolers, administrators, and community partners. It contains PreK-12 resources, professional development opportunities, ideas for integrating MeL into classroom learning, and much more. The Teachers Portal can be a way for libraries and schools to find common ground as use of MeL.org eResources is introduced to students in the classroom and reinforced in the library during afterschool activities and off-school times.

In Elementary and Secondary Resources look for video tutorials on using specific eResources, links to the Gale Blog, Google Tools Videos, and MCLS MeL Training and Events, and more.

Staff Resources provides links to slide decks, info sheets, training videos.

Tips & Tricks provides all kinds of insider information on features found in many MeL eResources – Primary Source Documents, Quick Click Dictionary, Resource Packs, Read Aloud/Listen, Proof of Work, Science Projects Access – and many more.

MeL databases are available to Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.
