YALSA has now published Teen Services Competencies for Library Staff<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/guidelines/yacompetencies> to help current & future library staff serve teens better. Professional tools & free webinars (beginning March 2018) are also available on the YALSA website. These new competencies (here<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/sites/ala.org.yalsa/files/content/TEEN%20SERVICES%20COMPETENCIES_Chart.pdf>, at a glance) are important to the role library staff does play in preparing teens for college & careers, so please familiarize yourself and keep an eye out for additional messages from YALSA and/or myself on this topic.
