Hi all, I was asked to share the responses I received to my recent query of how class 5 and 6 libraries manage minors' access to the Internet, which I’ve compiled into the attached MS Word document. In summary, there are essentially two strains of thought among our colleagues: 1. This who limit access to those 18 or under using various means at the guardian’s discretion. 2. Those who filter for CIPA compliance but otherwise allow all minors Internet access, believing it’s the guardian’s responsibility to personally supervise their children if they prefer otherwise.
