Dear Michigan Library Colleagues,
We cordially invite you and your community to attend an upcoming workshop on using newspapers and news reports in your genealogy research!
Extra! Extra! Read About Your Ancestors!
Thursday, August 20, 2015 - 6:30PM
http://pcplgenealogy.tumblr.com/
Newspapers have always been the diary of their community, and are a not-to-be-missed resource when looking for details of your family history. Discover what kind of events were reported in the society columns, legal proceedings, school reports, and more!
Learn how to find newspapers both online and in libraries, and how to search the online databases most effectively, including a demonstration of the Newsbank & GenealogyBank news service databases.
This workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required so we know how many handouts to provide for attendees. Refreshments will be provided. Please call the library at 734-878-3888 or visit http://bit.ly/PinckneyGenealogyWorkshop for more information.
Location: Pinckney Community Public Library, 125 Putnam Street, Pinckney, MI 48169
