Hi Stephanie & all,

The School Library Journal is keeping track of publishers’ permissions: https://www.slj.com/?detailStory=publisher-information-directory-copyright-storytime-social-media-permissions-covid-19.

You do need to check the list for each publisher’s story you share.  You can also see LM’s Copyright & Streaming Storytime site for additional information & resources.

Thank you,

Dear Librarians,

In the state of COVID-19, libraries have been reading books to children on facebook and virtual programming. How does that affect the copyright laws? What programs do you recommend for elementary level children? We are working on developing programs for in-house and virtual for next year. I appreciate your recommendations and suggestions.
