Here's the official word from MI Treasury: "Distribution of tax materials from the State of Michigan will begin following the completion of the direct mailing of books to taxpayers. A confirmed date is not known at this point but as soon as a date is confirmed, another e-mail will be sent notifying you when you can expect your materials. Taxpayers can also be referred to Michigan.gov/taxes for copies of the forms and instructions." The Home Heating Credit CR-7 printing was delayed and that's pushing everything back. And yes, the beginning filing date for MI taxes will coincide with the later Federal date of 1/31/2014. So, the bottom line is stay tuned. Debbie Gallagher
