Good afternoon,
We’ve scheduled a MeLCat (elibrary.mel.org) upgrade for Tuesday, March 17, at 7 AM. MeLCat requesting and other functions will be unavailable for a couple of hours. We will send a message when the upgrade
is complete.
MeLCat Implications:
1. Users cannot place new MeLCat requests.
2. MeLCat renewals may get a "server unavailable" message.
3. Library staff can process materials, but updates are held until the server comes back up.
MyMeLCat Implications:
1. Users can access their MeLCat requests through other methods:
-- DCB library users by a direct link:
[DCB1]
https://dcb1.mel.org/patroninfo
[DCB2]
https://dcb2.mel.org/patroninfo
[DCB3] https://dcb3.mel.org/patroninfo
[DCB4]
https://dcb4.mel.org/patroninfo
-- Innovative & Polaris/API library users by the local library account login page.
MeL eResources Implications:
1. The MeL eResources at
https://mel.org/az.php verify Michigan users based on the IP address of their computer.
2. Unrecognized Michigan IP addresses cannot use their MeLCat login or driver's license information for authentication.
