Hey!  I've just heard that folks close enough to drive into Ann Arbor are in for a real treat!!

3 time Caldecott runner-up and multiple Coretta Scott King winner Bryan Collier is doing a program in Ann Arbor. What an opportunity for you, any of your patrons, who are interested in illustrating (or writing).

Here's a bit about him:
He won both the Coretta Scott King Award, as illustrator, and the Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator Award for Uptown (Holt, 2000), the first book he both wrote and illustrated. He has won six King Awards as illustrator and he is a three-time Caldecott Medal runner-up.

For his lifetime contribution as a children's illustrator, Collier is the U.S. nominee for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2014
