Whether you work in a public, academic, school or special library, you will learn practical applications of technology to aid you in your library work. The MLA workgroup has put together a comprehensive schedule, including a session called "Jump-roping with the Standards Bearers: Using technology to assess authentic learning and applied mastery." Participants in this session will have the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of standards-based grading apps, such as Jumprope, to assess media literacy. The workshop will take place at the Kresge Library at Oakland University on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More information and registration can be found on the MLA website at http://www.mla.lib.mi.us/events/workshops/tech Hope to see you there, Vanessa Morris Regional Librarian/Director Wayne County Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped 30555 Michigan Avenue, Westland, MI 48186 Main: (734) 727-7300 * Direct: (734) 727-7311 Visit us on Twitter (@waynecountylbph) - http://twitter.com/waynecountylbph Visit us on FaceBook - http://facebook.com/waynecountylbph Visit our website - http://waynecountylbph.wordpress.com/
