That's what I heard, too. However, how do we show that we work for government entities? I have business cards, but do those suffice to demonstrate that we can be going to work?
In the Lib Mich webinar (archive said to be posted tomorrow), Calre Membiela mentioned that as government entities we do not need exemption letters. Clare, if you see this can you confirm?
" or purposes of this order, necessary government activities include minimum basic operations, as described in section 4(b). Workers performing such activities need not be designated."
Even though our libraries are closed to the public and staff, we still need to have key employees enter our buildings in order to perform essential duties to keep our operations going. Have any of you written an exemption letter for these employees so they can still enter the buildings without fear of breaking the executive order? If you have could you please share?
