Grant Writing 101: Basics for Programming Librarians – recorded 7/25/18

Need to write a grant proposal but don't know where to start? ALA has got you covered. In this 60-minute webinar, librarian/grant-writing extraordinaire Tracy Herold covers the basics of grant writing so you can start writing that outstanding proposal for your library. A successful grant proposal starts with two things: a clear idea and an understanding of the pieces you need to bring that idea to fruition. This session will offer an overview of the grant-writing process and give you the tools to think through your idea to make it as strong as possible.


The 2019 Annie E. Casey Foundation KIDS COUNT Data Book has just been published. The DATA BOOK is the most comprehensive annual report on child well-being in the U.S. Some key findings include that the U.S. child population increased by more than 9 million between 1990 and 2017 and has become much more diverse; that the majority of child well-being indicators have improved since 1990; and that disparities are still profound, especially for children of color and those living in poverty.
