On Thursday, July 22nd at 11:00 EST / 10:00 CST Heartland Forward, the American Library Association, and the FCC are hosting a live webinar and training session on the federal
Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) for frontline library staff.
As community hubs for connectivity and information, libraries play a central role in addressing the digital divide. They are uniquely positioned to help eligible residents of
their communities learn about and sign up for the Emergency Broadband Benefit’s discounts of up to $50 per month on internet service and one-time discounts of up to $100 on tablets, laptops or desktop computers. The past year has shown us how important reliable
internet access is, and library staff have a critical opportunity to help their patrons access the benefits.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit webinar will walk attendees through program eligibility and the enrollment process. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions to
federal agency staff in advance or during the training. The webinar will be recorded and available on
Heartland Forward’s website for those who cannot attend live.
Please view the webinar registration page for more details or contact the hosting organization directly with questions.
