Substitute Librarian

Wage: $15.50

Status: Part-time, 4-12 hours/week

The Portage District Library is seeking a service-oriented individual to join the Portage District Library as a Substitute Librarian for weekend hours. The successful candidate will instruct and assist patrons in the use of library materials and technology including: library catalog; databases; streaming content services; eBooks; photocopiers and printers; self-service checkout; public copier stations and the internet.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or institution.

· Broad knowledge of literature

· Customer service experience

· Strong computer skills and knowledge of consumer electronics, including ereaders.

· Effective oral and written communication skills.

The position includes a wage from $15.50/hour.
