Good afternoon,

My library established a "Materials by Mail" program approximately 30 years ago to provide permanent or temporary home-bound residents with library materials at no cost to the patron.  The service uses a business reply mail account through the local post office for delivery and return of each cloth mailing pouch.

This program worked very successfully until the last five or so years when the postal service seemed to implode - before COVID and before the staff shortages we see now.   Many mistakes on being made at our local post office and they are not taking responsibility for them.

I would like to investigate other delivery services.  It is not an option for us to have staff or volunteers (if we had an abundance of either) make the deliveries.  I would appreciate any alternatives.

Regards,

Jacalynn Harvey
