DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate recruitment, hiring and evaluation of peer and professional tutors.
2. Create and maintain an online training course for tutors on the LMS.
3. Assist with the management of LC programs and staff.
4. Oversee the College’s CRLA tutor training program, including coordination of CRLA training sessions and maintenance of records for students completing CRLA training and certification. Obtain and maintain CRLA membership and certification.
5. Obtain and maintain appropriate testing certifications.
6. Maintain tutoring session statistics.
7. Market and promote LC services to the community.
8. Facilitate interdepartmental tutoring dialogues through meetings and regular communication among departments, faculty and staff.
9. Explore and implement national testing standards.
10. Assist with management of budget and contracts.
11. Initiate, coordinate, and maintain on-campus and off-campus testing
12. Provide information and technology literacy to staff, faculty, students and community members.
13. Work with faculty and students to identify new ways to provide reference and instructional services to meet the learning needs of the College.
14. Assist with assessment efforts pertinent to the LC.
15. Provide identified program-level assessment testing services.
16. Assist with the hire, training, scheduling and supervision of the LC Staff.
17. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. This includes being comfortable using and demonstrating accessibility technology and software as well as reading or scribing when necessary.
18. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Learning Commons.
COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science
2. Demonstrated computer knowledge and skill.
3. Strong communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience managing/supervising others.
2. Familiarity with academic placement testing.
3. One year of experience in an academic setting.
4. Experience in an academic library or learning commons.
