We had an antique appraiser in today and we got into a discussion generated by one of our patrons about appraisers and dealers. The gentleman we had is an appraiser and not a dealer. There are many reputable antique dealers out there. When you’re booking an appraiser be cautious and ask good questions. We are looking for someone to do a fundraiser. We would charge the patron a reasonable fee per item (such as $5) and split it with the appraiser. Any suggestions are welcome.
