Lansing Community College Library is seeking a collaborative, student oriented Manager of Library User Services and User Experience

 

The Manager of Library User Services and User Experience provides leadership and management of front-line library access service operations including circulation, course reserves, stacks maintenance, library facility, and customer service excellence. The Manager of Library User Services and User Experience oversees library access services staff in a collaborative team environment. The Manager also participates in and leads usability studies and user assessment activities to enhance the overall user experience with library spaces, collections and services.

 

This is a 12-month administrative position reporting to the Library Director.

 The salary range is $49,433 - $52,954 commensurate with qualifications and experience.


Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Supervisory experience

·         Experience providing library services at a public service desk

·         Experience using an integrated library system

·         Experience with usability in libraries and user-centered design

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

·         Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited program

·         Experience with higher education software (Banner, D2L, Springshare)

·         Experience working in a team-based environment

·         Highly collaborative working style
