[Michlib-l] Creating Core lists of feature film DVD's

Hello All, I order fiction DVD's for the public library that I work for. We are in the process of compiling a core collection, and since I'm not a librarian by trade, I'm asking for some tips on the best way to go about this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
