I worked in one of the last NYPL branches to have a live-in custodian. He and his wife had 10 children, ranging in age from fully grown adults to babies in arms. Imagine my surprise when one of my first mornings I was sitting at the reference desk and five people came tromping down the stairs and out the front door just after the library opened. When I turned to a colleague to ask what that was about. she said "oh yeah, they live here!" On Fri, Oct 13, 2017 at 7:34 AM, Jim Flury <jflury@tln.lib.mi.us> wrote:
I heard this on the car radio on the drive to work this (early) morning. Audio to be added to the website later today.
What an inspiring story! So cool!
