📚 Job Opening: Fiscal Officer (Part-Time, 10 hrs/week)

What You’ll Do
- Lead the Library’s Finances
- Develop and monitor the annual budget & appropriations.
- Maintain accurate, transparent records in full compliance with Ohio public-library laws.
- Keep Payroll & Benefits on Track
- Process payroll bi-weekly.
- Manage employee benefits and related reporting.
- Advise & Collaborate
- Work closely with the Library Director and staff; report directly to the Board of Trustees.
- Present clear monthly financial reports and coordinate periodic audits.
- Problem-Solve with Independence
- Exercise sound judgment to keep daily fiscal operations running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or public-sector finance (library or municipal experience a plus).
- Familiarity with Ohio’s public-library fiscal regulations—or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to work 10 hours per week with occasional extra hours for audits or year-end close.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
Compensation
- Hourly wage commensurate with education and experience.
- Part-time schedule (10 hrs/week) with flexibility to arrange hours during the Library’s open days.
